Production log - Front cover

1. Red colour block placed in the left hand corner and the inset image laid over it.

2. Cicle shape inserted then using the gradient tool to create the effect I wanted.

3. Masthead put in place, and banner put along the bottom of the page.

4. Using the magnetic lasso tool to crop around the head and then copy and paste to create a new layer to overlay the masthead.

5. Colour of ‘sticker’ changed and writing added on top.

6. Edge of the inset image made jagged using the polygon lasso tool to create a torn effect.

7. White rectangle added, then different pixel sized lines used to start creating a bar code.

8. Lines finished on barcode, numbers and writing added to the top.

9. Masthead, Inset image, barcode, banner and sticker in place.

10. Other inset image added, with blue rectangle behind to act as a border.

11. Cover line added, Drop down shadow used on the main coverline and a white outer glow used on the extended coverline.

12. Coverline added for inset image.

13. Writing added to the banner.

14. Plus! Sign changed, from a custom shape to an arrow to create a smarter look.

15. Colours of masthead and main coverline changed as I preferred the colours this way.

16. Coverline added to the other inset image and tilted.

17. Completed front cover.
